The Nevada Department of Business and Industry is pleased to announce the appointment of Adam Teti as Commissioner of the Nevada Transportation Authority (NTA), effective immediately.

As Commissioner, Teti will oversee regulatory functions governing Nevada’s transportation providers including motor carriers, charter services, and other for-hire passenger services. His appointment positions the NTA to meet the evolving needs of the industry while ensuring continued compliance, innovation, and public accountability.

With nearly two decades of experience in transportation regulation and law enforcement leadership, Teti brings a deep understanding of the industry and a proven track record of operational excellence, policy development, and interagency collaboration. His appointment follows his tenure as Deputy Administrator and Chief of Law Enforcement at the Nevada Taxicab Authority, where he spearheaded department modernization initiatives and fostered strategic partnerships to enhance public safety and regulatory compliance.

Prior to his leadership role at the Taxicab Authority, Teti served as Supervisory Investigator at the NTA for eight years where he directed investigative operations and played a key role in policy enforcement and personnel development. His extensive background includes leading cross-functional teams, overseeing complex investigations, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, and serving as a spokesperson on transportation and enforcement issues.

“Adam has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public service, regulatory integrity, and continuous improvement throughout his career,” said Dr. Kristopher Sanchez, Director of the Department of Business and Industry. “His leadership will be instrumental in advancing the NTA’s mission to ensure safe, reliable, and equitable transportation services for all Nevadans.”

Teti is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Law and Public Policy at Liberty University. He has also held multiple leadership roles in the Nevada Peace Officers Association, reflecting his dedication to public safety, community engagement, and professional development.
