Nevada Labor Commissioner Reminds Contractors to Submit Prevailing Wage Survey by July 15 Deadline
The Office of the Labor Commissioner is reminding contractors that the deadline to submit responses to the 2025–2027 Prevailing Wage/Construction Wage Survey is quickly approaching. All submissions must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. PST on July 15, 2025.
This biennial survey plays a critical role in determining the prevailing wage rates for public works construction projects in Nevada. The Office considers both public and private construction work completed between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2025, and the results will establish the new prevailing wage rates effective October 1, 2025.
Nevada law requires the Labor Commissioner to conduct an annual survey of contractors who have performed construction work and consider other relevant information pursuant to NAC 338.020, to determine the prevailing wage rates for the upcoming year. Prevailing wage rates are required to be paid on Nevada public works construction projects such as roadways and government buildings that cost more than $100,000.
Contractors are encouraged to participate by visiting the “Prevailing Wage” tab on the Labor Commissioner’s website at labor.nv.gov, where they will find instructions and a link to the online Construction Wage Survey portal (Case IQ).
Participants must provide detailed information for each project completed during the survey period, including:
- Project name and location
- Construction type (building, heavy, or highway)
- Dates work was performed
- Whether the project was a public works project
- Craft classification and hours worked
- Base and fringe rates paid per hour
- Union affiliation, if applicable
Contractors who need to make corrections after submission must do so in writing by contacting the Office at publicworks@labor.nv.gov.
“We appreciate the participation of Nevada’s construction industry in this important survey,” said Labor Commissioner Brett K. Harris, Esq. “Contractor input helps ensure accurate and fair prevailing wage rates across the state.”
